Angry Online Surveys

Most of the online surveys are scams. Their surveys consist of trying you to sign-up for offers or other surveys. In my opinion they are not really surveys. Just a way to get you to buy products to support their site.

The one I see most often is the one where they offer you $50 or $100 to vote for your favorite product or celebrity. To get the money you have to take advantage of one or two of their offers. Or they offer you a free sample of some product and charge you shipping and handling.

There are a lot of scam survey sites online and most of the time the only thing you end up with is lots of spam. The sites that claim to be survey sites should really be called "Offers" instead because that is basically what a person is doing is filling out offers and not surveys.

There are few legitimate survey sites but the ones I know of either you have to get an invite from someone who already does surveys or you have to find a banner ad to their website. I have been with two survey sites for over 7 years but only just to get a few products and pocket change. There is not really any big money to made from surveys.

That's true, Sandie, I sure do get a lot of spam. Instead of getting a e-mail with a survey to take, you get an offer.

I have been with two or three legitimate survey sites myself. I can say this much, you can't earn no extra money to pay bills. Maybe buy some candy or a snack.

I have seen some of these survey sites in Job Search listings, such as careerbuilder.com. I even saw an ad run by a survey site in the State Employment Commission job search listings. I was gonna turn them in.
But I figured they gotta make a living, too. So I just ignored the ads.

There's survey companies and then there's gpt(get-paid-to)sites like you're describing that are all ad-based. I work both kinds on a regular basis and, though there's no hope of getting rich doing it, there's definitely money in it. You just have to learn how they work and be willing to play along. There's tricks to working the gpt's, and once you learn the tricks you can make money at them without spending a penny.

I don't have room to give my whole history here, but to put it in a nutshell my offline business failed 6 months ago and instead of getting a "regular" job I found these gpt & survey sites, signed up to about 100 of them(literally. I always go whole hog.), and after a lot of trial and error and lots of weeding, I'm left with about 15 survey companies and 25 gpt sites that I work on a regular basis.

In 6 months not only did I pay the bills but I managed to build up enough inventory to, as of next week, get back into my offline business!
So, personally, I like these sites. Now that I've found them I'll continue doing them for some extra cash, even though I'm strapped for time
now, but I'll be cutting back to 1-2 hours a day.

Few of the sites are actual scams- if they are they don't stay in business very long. But some of them are a lot better than others. It's just a matter of finding the best ones- the ones you like.

Oh yeah, to avoid spam just get some free alternate email addresses.

What you are referring to are called offers

There are two types:

1) 100% Free Offers
2) Trial Offers (these require to signup for a product or service for a trail period..you must cancel or get charged.

I have done many free trials and earned money never spend a cent. I have also done a few trial offers..for things I REALLY wanted and got a rebate to boot!

There are also legitimate surveys you can take. These you actually have to qualify for. I do these when I have time and use the money to advertise or pay for programs that require a fee.

I don't believe these qualify as scams...terms are usually clearly stated and you don't have to spend any money unless you want to. You are not being cheated out of any money whatsoever!

I agree with you nuvitas. Some people yell SCAM too quickly. I have personally made money with paid surveys AND the paid to sign up for offers sites. I havent gotten rich by a long shot.and most people trying to earn extra money online dont either.

The difference is....I havent spent any money at the sites I make cash at. There are a few trials I'd like to do....but I'm building up my cash base first.

Good luck!!

Currently i'm only using a paid to read emails program. I've been paid already by via. mail already. I'm working on reaching payout min. by next month. I have a sticky thread on the forum about the one that i use.

You are right about most of the online survey sites are scams but not all of them. I've been scammed by some of them and also actually got paid. But latley, i'm not motivated to do them. Perhaps in a few week's i'll get back into that.
