How To Bring Goals To Life!
A great way of seeing your goals and making them foremost in your mind
is to gain a visual goal diary, or scrap book.
On most of our computers we have a section called Pictures or My
Pictures. Enter that section and create a New folder titled My Goals.
Now hopefully you should have a few goals written down somewhere or at
least have them in your minds eye in order for you to focus on them.
Ok, now what we are going to do is bring those goals to life and give them
a real presence. In your web browser (Which I hope is Mozilla Firefox
doesn’t matter if it is not but Firefox is just the bees knees when it comes
to web browsers you may wish to look it up later and download) search
for Google search engine if not already your Home Page.
Google has a facility for searching Images (All images so be careful).
Once you have found the Google Images Search facility type in one of
your Goals. This may be a type of car, boat, motorbike etc. Once you
have found the image you personally like simply right click with your
mouse, search for My Pictures – My Goals then name as the name you
wish and save in you’re My Goals (Picture) file.
If you have certain goals such as getting fit or learning karate then you
may wish to use pictures such as a personal fitness trainer or home gym
and for karate use a top martial artist such as Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris,
Jacque Chan, Jet Li etc.
So for every Goal you will have an image or associated image.
Bringing these Goals to life means focussing on them regularly. The best
way to do this is create a New Goal every Week. Log this down
somewhere so you don’t forget. Then every time you add a new goal to
your folder take time to view through all the others that you already
have. This process will re-affirm them in your mind and remind you why
you are doing what it is that you are doing.
This is an easy free and effective way of producing a highly visual and
worthwhile goals list for regular reiteration purposes.
Kind Regards
