Dan, the owner of info silencer is trying to wake up the free web directory industry to pay attention to there directories listings.
I don't own a web directory no more, but this thread is a must read and also post your comment's. Is he right? Is he wrong for posting this? Will this actually start a revolution in directories doing a major house cleaning.
Some directory owners, just looking to get a lot of listings fast and then sell there directory trying to pass if off as a high traffic one. (This is nothing personal towards free directory owners but my opinion) They are in it for fast money and nothing else. It's always good to check every listing once a month to make sure the website is not parked or switched to a different website. (Then title and description is way off)
Some people once there listing get's approved, put a redirect on that link to another site in which could be a adult related site, warez, or something bad that goes against your submission terms. That is why, you should review listings monthly. Heck, hire someone to do this once a month and give you detail results of what they did and recommend.
Please check out the link below and share your thoughts in that thread.
