Welcome to the forum.

On your site, above the amazon banner there is another banner or ad network you are using. The banner overlaps into your right column which is greyish. Hope you userstand what i was explaining. Try a different size on the banner or ad network image. Perhaps center all your banner images so they are in middle of the page.

Stuff or code in here
would do that. On your about page, seems there is some extra space in between a few words in first sentence. Your site will be filled with important information and articles i suppose. How bout put up a logo image that fit's your niche good. Just add's another touch and get's visitor interested in the content. This just a idea, you don't have to do this. Remember to experiment with things, that's only way to improve.

Your site is easy to navigate which is great. I'm not sure if you have looked into this yet, but have you tried out other blog themes? Sometimes first impression get's the visitor/reader interested in the site and looks around. Seem's like your theme is plain old boring to me. I don't mean anything personal just giving opinion.

Here is another site that has themes for the type of blog you use. http://www.wpthemesfree.com/

I'm a little tired right now and tried to put a few things down about what i am thinking at first glance of your site. Good theme, fresh content and traffic equal's popular blog. One thing to do to build up quality backlinks to your site is to submit to blog directories or even web directories. There are free ones out there that are quality and worth submitting to. Comment on other peoples blogs that are similiar to your niche and don't forget to leave your URL for them to check out.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice and quik reply, I've done a quite few changes already (look here).
About the theme, I agree it might be a bit boring but I don't want it to flashy cause i want the site to send out signals of a certain degree of seriousness and authority.
Thanks for the tips on spreading links:-)

Wow, site looking a lot better now. Yea, the flashy theme would send out some signal's, that is why i didn't go with a custom theme with a whole lot of goodies on it. It's good to be different from your competitors also.

Have a great weekend. I just got home after getting 3 fillings put in at the dentist.
