Thumbs up Anyone Listed in Dmoz?

The last time i checked was few month's ago and this forum not in. Although this forum is not 5 years old and a old man in the internet world, i do think it should be listed eventually. (i'm always looking to improve this forum to benifit the members / visitors who visit here)

I've submitted a few sites in the past that i did own at that time. Never did get an approved site in, but i think this forum has a chance someday to be listed. I did not submit this forum yet to Dmoz (Unless i was half asleep when i did), but i'm sure it'll get added eventually. Who the hell knows if the editors add sites that they find on search engines or actually review submissions that are waiting in the que.

Since i don't feel like paying off an editor to get in, i'll just submit to regular web directories that are well known or that i come across on the internet. It's not the end of the world if ya don't get listed in Dmoz but anyone here have some sites in that they own? Did you get excited or just say "whoop d do" i'm in. What's on CNN tonight?

If you have a website or multiple websites listed in there, how long did it take to get approved?

Let's say there is 1 active editor in the category you submitted to...around 10 years your site will get reviewed. (That was a joke)

Cool Re: Anyone Listed in Dmoz?

Yes I have a DMOZ listing. After months of frustration my website submission has finally been approved by the DMOZ editorial team and has been put in the respective category. It took 8 months to get the nod ,since it was a free subscription.I had already given up hope and when I asked members from various forums they came up with 2 options a)DMOZ is no longer important and 2)Bribe the editor.Well I didn't believe the first and neither did I try the second one.So people who still have their website waiting for approval in the cue don't get dis heartened just submit it to the most relevant category .Incase your website has 10 keywords and you optimize your website properly for all of them, then try submitting it to the category that has the minimum amount of approvals pending. That will surely help.I did that and was successful.
