If anyone cares about PageRank, google is now updating it. Will be a few weeks for this to settle down and see your final rank.

I've read so many threads on other webmaster forums i visit about this update. This forum is the only forum without a PR announcement thread. So i created one here for the heck of it. lol

Anyone who's rank went up, Congrats and well deserved. I think google is updating backlinks also. I'm not sure about that but as long as your site get's traffic, PR does not matter. (It's just a number)

Page Rank is a nice little thing that only online marketers really care about.

I submit articles to sites with high PR just so I can get to the front pages for my top keywords.

Otherwise, it's getting on with seminars and joint ventures to build my opt in lists. You need to build your list fast and waiting for PR and getting to page one of Google will take a very long time unless you want some strange long tail keyword that few bother with.

Latley i've been a little busy offline but i still do submit to some web directories and post comments on a few blogs that i'm interested in. I am always trying to do a little bit of something each day to give search engines some love.

What i plan on doing this summer which is here i believe, is write 2 more article's. Takes me awhile to get a good one done and make sure it's a quality one search engines will love indexing. I'm not the greatest writer in the world, that's why it takes me awhile to get something perfect. lol

I agree, pagerank is good if you want to place ads on your site but if you have targeted traffic and converting sales then that's what matters most.

If you have a solution to a problem then I'm sure you will get sales. Besides, I've never asked for a refund because I noticed a site had a low PR.

All i want and what everyone wants to there sites they own is traffic. The more traffic the better chance's you will have a long time customer or a sale. I got out of the web directory business because it's a hard business to understand to begin with. Just when you think you know something, boom the @#$ hit's the fan. I got out of it.

Everyone was out buying site wide links on high PR sites and in the end some of those sites got banned from google. People who look at PR4 should really re-think things.

Do i visit a site that is popular and get's a lot of traffic, does great in search engines or do i buy a link on a PR6 site? I'll take the traffic any day.

Well, i have a few problems i need to take care of on this forum in next 2 day's. My designer is on vacation for a few days and template needs updated since i upgraded the forum.

3 to 4 times a year google updates PR. That's if they update on time and not delay the updates.

When i hear rumors on an expected update, i usually announce it to everyone.

There is no SET date when google does the update, but usually takes 1 to 3 month's for the updates to stop. Ya may get a PR4 in the first week of google updating PR accross the board but when they done updating till the next one, your site may end up at a stable 3. I've scene this happen before.

As long as the google bot keeps crawling my sites, i don't care about the PR number. Give google some fresh content daily and build up your backlinks. This helps a lot.

I personally like pagerank and feel it really brings some worth to the site. I hear next update is some time around July.
